Company History
DRC Polymer Products Ltd was formerly the privately owned Dunstable Rubber Company Ltd (DRC). DRC was originally formed in 1946 and manufactured premium grade elastomeric membranes for the single-ply roofing industry and structural waterproofing membranes. Its products have been sold on a world-wide basis offering a service that embraces every aspect from initial consultancy and design; membrane manufacture and supply; fabrication, packaging and shipping; supervision of on-site installation globally; quality control; a guarantee of performance. In 1995 DRC acquired a Cambridgeshire based plastics extrusion company with an established record and substantial reputation in the supply of polymeric sheeting to a wide range of engineering plastics industries. DRC then set about relocating its Dunstable manufacturing plant to the Cambridgeshire site. This centralised operation led to the change of company name to DRC Polymer Products Ltd. In 1998 DRC were acquired by the SWP Group plc and their investment in the company has helped to grow every aspect of the company from its R&D capability through to manufacture and customer service. This well-rounded, in-house capability allows DRC to work closely with its customers developing products at the leading edge of polymer processing technology.
